Dinner with my dad

It’s been so long since I blogged that I almost forgot how to do this. Anyhoo, a lot has been going on… lots of everyday things like work and kid stuff, but we also sold our duplex, my 92 year old dad moved into senior housing, we’re planning a big remodel on our house, I was on jury duty, and probably more. I don’t know, I’m tired and just trying to keep up.

I’ve been thinking a lot about my dad recently. He just celebrated his 92nd birthday and has been living in his new apartment for about 4 months now. If you know anything about my relationship with my dad it’s that he’s my rock. He’s been the most stable person in my life and I adore him… even when he drives me nuts. I’ve been going back through my pictures and realized that I have a bit of a theme of taking pictures of him while we are dining together so I thought I would share that here. I’m a sucker for a theme, but a bigger sucker for capturing my dad on camera.

Sometimes you don’t even know you are working on a theme until years later. Sometimes you just think you are going to lunch with your dad.
